| The SecuriLink
E-Payment Processing solution is designed to assist
organisations, large and small, in dealing with
the difficulties of issuing bills and statements
and of collecting monies due. The system is focused
on providing clients with cost effective solutions
to improving their billing and collection systems.
The ease of operation and its competitive costs
make it a long term solution to improved billing
and debt collection commitments.
The SecuriLink E-Payment Processing solution
provides easy interface between client’s
accounting systems and the web-based convenience
available to customers. It is a very secure system
that protects the integrity of the client’s
customer data and all data stored on the system.
The system does not capture and store any customer
details. These are retrieved through the API links
once there is a unique reference to each customer
record. In this way the invoice number, or client
number would provide access to the client customer
details, without the system storing such details.
The SecuriLink E-Payment Processing System enables
clients to reduce the cost of billing and collection
whilst at the same time improving overall efficiency
in this area. Not only does it reduce costs, it
frees staff from the time consuming and routine
tasks of invoicing and mail preparation for more
productive labour. To ensure the sustainability
of the system, it is built around a transparent
charging process ensuring excellent value for
money to the client.
SECURILINK E-PAYMENT PROCESSING
SYSTEM FACILITIES AND FUNCTIONALITIES
The SecuriLink E-Payment Processing
System is based on the following:-
- Collection of client’s billing data
- Secure data storage on web-based system
- Formatting of web page for data access
- E-mail to client’s customers with specific
billing page url and password
- Client’s customer accesses web page
- Client’s customer completes credit card
details and authorises payment
- Web system provides receipt to customer
- Web system provides reports to client
The following sections outline briefly the manner
in which the process works.
COLLECTION OF CLIENT’S BILLING
DATA
Through the use of a customised API the client’s
billing data is collected. The API format allows
for the collection of the data required, i.e.
client customers’ data and data related
to the bills and statements to be issued to the
client’s customers. By using the API interface,
the client’s own accounting system remains
separate and distinct from the web based system
thereby eliminating any risk of penetration through
the web based system.
SECURE DATA STORAGE ON WEB-BASED SYSTEM
Once the client’s customer billing data
is transferred to the web-based system, this is
securely stored for access and referral throughout
the payment process. Access to this data can be
controlled and will be available to the client
and the specific client customer through username
and password access controls. This is standard
procedure for accessing any secure site and users
should have no difficulty in dealing with this
process. Help facilities for those who may have
forgotten their password will also be available.
FORMATTING OF WEB PAGES FOR DATA ACCESS
Once the data is stored this is accessible through
a web page that allows for the viewing of the
various data elements. For security reasons, customers
will not be able to edit the data that is presented
for viewing.
E-MAIL ACCESS TO CLIENT’S CUSTOMERS
WITH SPECIFIC BILLING PAGE URL& PASSWORD
The system will issue an e-mail notification
to the client’s customers with a unique
web page url address and the unique password necessary
to access that page. This is an integral part
of the security of the system, with unique pages
being used for individual customer access.
CLIENT’S CUSTOMER ACCESS TO WEB
PAGES
Upon receipt of the url address and the required
password the client’s customer is able to
access the web page containing all the relevant
billing/statement information. They will of course
be able to view on screen or print the information
displayed.
CLIENT’S CUSTOMERS’ COMPLETION
OF
CREDIT CARD DETAILS & PAYMENT AUTHORISATION
Once the customer is in agreement with the details
provided and has decided to make the payment on-line,
the credit card details will be requested by the
system. The customer will key these in on-line.
Upon completion of the credit card details, the
customer would be required to authorise the payment
to be effected through the system.
WEB SYSTEM PROVIDING RECEIPT TO CUSTOMER
Upon confirmation of the payment authorisation
by the customer, the system will process the payment.
A receipt confirming the transaction will be issued
and sent by e-mail to the customer immediately
the confirmation of the transaction is received
from the authorising bank.
WEB SYSTEM PROVIDING REPORTS TO CLIENT
An integral part of the electronic payment processing
solutions is the prompt payment status reports
that are available to clients. Clients may opt
for individual notification of payments or may
choose to have reports sent periodically. Alternatively,
clients may choose not to have payment status
reports sent, but to have access to payment audit
trails allowing them access to on-line payment
records at their leisure.
SYSTEM FACILITIES
The SecuriLink E-Payment Processing System provides
extensive levels of customisation, in the five
different sections of the on-line bill, including:-
- Customisation of client data, logo, name,
address, contact details etc.
- Through API links inclusion of client customer
specific data, name of organisation, contact
and address
- Through API links inclusion of client customer
bill/statement data
- Section of collection of credit card details
and authorisation of payment
- A customised client message at the foot of
the on-line bill
The SecuriLink E-Payment Processing System also
provides a legacy facility that allows the client
customers to access a secure website and make
payments, in full or on account, of bills received
in the traditional manner and not through the
e-payment process. Customers need only access
the client designated web page, key in the customer
ref no or other unique reference no, reference
to the bill or statement, and follow the on-line
payment process. This legacy facility allows for
ease roll-over of billing operations from traditional
systems to web-based systems. |
