| Paying
a company for products or services using the Maltapay
electronic payment service driven by the SecuriLink
payment engine is quick and easy. E-Payment through
Maltapay involves a simple process that enables
users to make payments on-line to subscribing
firms. The whole process is extremely user friendly
and takes only a few minutes.
Maltapay is designed to provide a user-friendly
approach to Internet based payment systems. It
provides a very cost effective service to those
firms that subscribe to the service. Once, a firm
in included in the Maltapay system, all the user
has to do to effect a payment is very simple.
First select the name of the company from amongst
the Maltapay subscribers. The Maltapay E-Payment
service lists all the companies a user can pay
through the Maltapay website. Periodically add
new companies are added so checking back regularly
to identify new subscribers that can be paid on-line
through Maltapay is recommended. For easy reference,
the companies are listed in alphabetical order.
A simple click on the name of the company to pay
is all that is needed to proceed to the next step.
Then the invoice reference of the invoice to
be paid must be keyed in. Each company may request
different details from the user however the following
rules always apply: A required field is marked
with a red star [*] and has to be filled in before
the user can proceed to the next step. If a required
field is missed a note will appear at the top
of the page in red indicating which field was
missed.
The Invoice Number and Email Address fields are
always present for each merchant. This allows
the merchant to allocate the payment that is being
effected to the relevant invoice, whilst the e-mail
address is necessary for the despatch of the confirmation
note and can be used to contact the user in case
of any query.
When prompted the user is then asked to key in
the relevant credit/debit card details. In this
final step in effecting a payment through Maltapay
the user is asked to choose the method of payment
and to enter the relevant credit/debit card details.
The user can pay the relevant invoice through
Maltapay using a Credit or Debit card or through
one of the alternative payment methods supported
by Maltapay, namely: Credit and Debit Cards: VISA,
MasterCard, American Express ,JCB etc.
The following four fields have to be correctly
filled so complete payment of your invoice:
- Card number
- Cardholder name
- Expiry date
- Amount to pay
- Other remarks
Once the correct details are entered, the user
can click the ‘Pay Now’ link to complete
the e-payment through Maltapay. This will be processed
in approximately Five seconds.
Once the payment is effected through Maltapay,
the user is presented with a screen confirming
the payment of the invoice and the details entered
throughout the process. A confirmation email containing
the same information is also emailed to the email
address the user keyed in earlier in the process.
It is recommended that users print the confirmation
page for future reference. A ‘Print’
link is provided at the top of the confirmation
summary.
